Requirements

In order to be approved by GAPSAC and recognized by the State Board of Education as an accrediting body, the following requirements must be met by member organizations:

A framework for approving the school accreditation programs of the member organizations;

The member organization must verify that its accreditation process has been in use for a minimum of three years.

The member organization must adhere to the policies required by The Georgia Private School Accreditation Council, including provision to submit annual and interim reports by member schools to their accrediting organizations, and
R

On-site visitations and timely self-study and production of follow-up reports no more than every seven years.

Once membership is granted by GAPSAC, the organization’s membership in GAPSAC must continue to be active. Continued recognition is subject to the organization’s annual membership in GAPSAC.

The member organization must follow the articles of the Constitution and the Bylaws of GAPSAC.

Organizations which accredited homeschool cooperative programs are not eligible for membership in GAPSAC.
