GAPSAC Approval
The applying organization must demonstrate compliance with the articles of the Constitution and the Bylaws of GAPSAC, including the following:
That it is an association, corporation, or other organization in Georgia, which is affiliated with operating, or representing, private schools including any grades K through 12.
That it is an association, corporation, or other organization in Georgia which subscribes to a policy of admission of students without regard to race, color, or national origin.
That it is an association, corporation, or other organization in Georgia which is operated for educational purposes.
That it is an association, corporation, or other organization which is affiliated with a religious organization or is organized on a not-for-profit basis.
The applying organization must be one whose member schools are not-for-profit schools, either affiliated with a religious body or operating under a 501(c)(3) status.
After thoroughly reading the GAPSAC Organizational Manual, the applying organization must submit a letter to the President requesting membership. The letter should be accompanied by a completed Membership Application (which is found on the following pages) along with all verifying data requested in the Application.
A membership fee of $500 must be submitted with this material before the membership of the organization is considered by GAPSAC. If membership is denied by GAPSAC, $250 of this amount will be returned to the organization.
Annual dues of each GAPSAC member organization will be $250.
Initial dues for an organization which is accepted into GAPSAC membership shall be payable within 30 days after notification of acceptance. Thereafter, dues for the following fiscal year will be payable by each member organization before the end of the current fiscal year (June 30). Dues which are more than 30 days in arrears shall be subject to a penalty of 10% ($25). Any member organization which is more than 60 days late in dues, and which has been notified by the President of non-payment of dues· for the following shall be dropped from membership.
When all the criteria included in the Membership Application have been met, an invitation to join GAPSAC will be offered by a two-thirds vote of approval by the members of the Council.
